{"id":990,"date":"2017-12-07T13:52:03","date_gmt":"2017-12-07T19:52:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dalemorin.com\/?p=990"},"modified":"2018-03-18T16:36:22","modified_gmt":"2018-03-18T21:36:22","slug":"moving-forward","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dalemorin.com\/?p=990","title":{"rendered":"Moving forward by preparing to stop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moved the handlebars with the brifters installed, and then removed the old bar tape and cables. \u00a0Cleaned the old adhesive off the handlebars.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Decided to run the brake cables first. \u00a0Replaced the cables, then the housings. \u00a0Next is to cut the housing to length, after taping the housing in place on the handlebar. \u00a0Remembered to pull hard on the brake levers to be sure the housing is fully seated in the brifters before marking the length and cutting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cut the housing and installed the front brake housing and cable. \u00a0The front pads were properly aligned so no changes needed there. \u00a0Cut the front housing for the rear brake cable and installed it. \u00a0Got the rear brake cable and housing done and the brake pads and caliper adjusted. \u00a0Used tri-flow to lubricate the cables. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now on to the shifter cabling&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Moved the handlebars with the brifters installed, and then removed the old bar tape and cables. \u00a0Cleaned the old adhesive off the handlebars.
