Inaugural Soggy Bottom Run

This was the First Annual Soggy Bottom Run. Anyone that knows me knows that most of my long distance rides seem to encounter rainy weather. As the photos show, this trip was no exception. I had taken a bus trip to Wheeling, WV to pick up the Goldwing at a dealer on the Ohio side of the river, leaving Chicago on Labor Day, September 4th, 2006. I left with the bike on Tuesday the 5th and headed for my parent’s house in Indiana, my stopping point for Tuesday night. Wednesday morning I headed for home. I spent some time working Wednesday afternoon and Thursday and left Friday morning the 8th for LaCrosse, WI to meet my friend Mike for the historical, inaugural, Soggy Bottom Run.

These are the pictures from this pivotal event in motorcycling history.
